About Code Officials of Lower Alabama (COLA) Chapter

The Code Officials of Lower Alabama (COLA) is a professional association dedicated to supporting building and code enforcement officials throughout Mobile, Baldwin, and surrounding counties. Our mission is to elevate the prestige of code enforcement professionals by promoting high standards of efficiency, integrity, and public safety in the administration of building, electrical, housing, mechanical, plumbing, and related codes.

Through education, training, and collaboration, COLA empowers its members to stay informed about evolving codes and best practices, while fostering connections with industry leaders, trade professionals, and fellow code officials. By hosting monthly meetings, lunch-and-learn sessions, and our signature Mid-Winter Conference, we provide ongoing opportunities for professional growth, networking, and community engagement.

At COLA, our members are the heart of our organization. Together, we work to ensure safer buildings, stronger communities, and a brighter future for the residents of Lower Alabama.
